Advisory Alpha is an independent registered investment advisory firm. We partnered with Advisory Alpha in 2021 to expand our services, strengthen our infrastructure, and provide our clients with a broader range of investment choices. Their investment team assists us with asset management through portfolio construction, investment research and policy, trading and rebalancing, and due diligence. They also provide technology and resources for advanced planning and marketing.

What is Horizon Financial’s relationship with Advisory Alpha?2024-07-17T08:45:56-04:00

Horizon Financial and Advisory Alpha are separate entities that work in partnership to serve our clients. We build and maintain long-lasting relationships with our clients, create and update financial plans over time, provide guidance on tax minimization strategies, and assist with estate planning considerations, all based on our client’s individual goals and circumstances. We collaborate with Advisory Alpha to implement and support those plans and decisions. Their investment management team is an extension of Horizon Financial, working behind the scenes to construct investment portfolios, monitor current trends and market data, and adjust portfolios accordingly to help ensure investment strategies are aligned with risk tolerance and planning goals. Our relationship with Advisory Alpha gives us access to their research processes, advanced trading tools, and powerful infrastructure, adding breadth and depth to our planning services while allowing us to stay focused on our client relationships.

Who to Contact

Our Client Care Team is a great place to start for most service questions. Please reference this resource to identify the best person to assist you based on your needs. You can also call the office (336-659-7060) or email us (clientcare@horizonfs.com) and we will direct you to the correct team member.

Our Client Care Team:

  • Angel Moorefield, Paraplanner – provides financial planning and investment management support to our advisors, working directly with clients to obtain important information and updates. Angel also assists clients with eMoney and general account questions.
  • Dawn Rutledge, Director of Client Services – assists clients with account paperwork, transfers, withdrawal requests, and Required Minimum Distributions.
  • Ashley Parrish, Assistant Director of Client Services – processes money requests and assists clients with general service needs and requests. Ashley is also responsible for annuity applications and related account paperwork.
  • Katie Johnson, Receptionist/Administrative Assistant – manages our calendar with appointments and meetings, greets clients, maintains our database with client contact information, and provides general office support.
  • Jessica Patterson, Marketing & Business Development Manager – ensures clients receive our email communications and organizes all client events.
