Advisory Alpha
Advisory Alpha is an independent registered investment advisory firm. We partnered with Advisory Alpha in 2021 to expand our services, strengthen our infrastructure, and provide our clients with a broader range of investment choices. Their investment team assists us with asset management through portfolio construction, investment research and policy, trading and rebalancing, and due diligence. They also provide technology and resources for advanced planning and marketing.
Horizon Financial and Advisory Alpha are separate entities that work in partnership to serve our clients. We build and maintain long-lasting relationships with our clients, create and update financial plans over time, provide guidance on tax minimization strategies, and assist with estate planning considerations, all based on our client’s individual goals and circumstances. We collaborate with Advisory Alpha to implement and support those plans and decisions. Their investment management team is an extension of Horizon Financial, working behind the scenes to construct investment portfolios, monitor current trends and market data, and adjust portfolios accordingly to help ensure investment strategies are aligned with risk tolerance and planning goals. Our relationship with Advisory Alpha gives us access to their research processes, advanced trading tools, and powerful infrastructure, adding breadth and depth to our planning services while allowing us to stay focused on our client relationships.

- Look in your TRASH or DELETED folder. Our email message may land in one of these folders if you inadvertently hit the delete button or swipe to delete. Some antivirus programs will automatically send emails to trash before you’re able to view them. If you find a message from Horizon Financial in your trash or deleted folder, simply choose to send it back to your inbox and access it from there.
- Whitelist or safelist Horizon Financial emails and review your block settings and filters. Online Account Tools
Account Access is Horizon Financial’s interactive portal for clients, giving them direct access to their account information, including up-to-date values, returns, and positions. Clients can view the performance of their accounts with custom dates and ranges, replacing the need for traditional quarterly performance reports. This resource is available on the Finfolio platform through our relationship with Advisory Alpha. It complements the information accessible to clients on the Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. (“Schwab”) client portal, Schwab Alliance.
If you would like access to Horizon Financial’s client portal, Account Access, please email Leslie Blankenship (leslie.blankenship@horizonfs.com) with the following information:
- The email address you would like to use as your username.
- If other members of your household would like portal access using separate login credentials, please provide Leslie with their email address(es).
- By default, each person in your household with login credentials will be able to view all accounts within your household. Please let Leslie know if we should limit views to accounts in your (or their) name only.
After sending your request to Leslie, expect to receive an email from Advisory Alpha in approximately 1-2 business days. The email will contain an activation link prompting you to create a password and establish portal access. Please check your email account (including your junk/spam folders) during this timeframe for a message from email@advisoryalpha.com. The link included in the email will expire after 24 hours or after it is clicked once.
If you need assistance establishing portal access, please email Leslie Blankenship or call the office (336-659-7060) and request to speak with her. All account-specific questions should be directed to Angel Moorefield or your advisor.
If you forget your password after establishing portal access, click ‘Forgot password?’ on the portal login screen to reset it.
As always, please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have questions or concerns.
